Okay so Friday I stayed home from school. I woke up pretty early anyway and got my last minute things together and packed everything up. Mom made me a grilled cheese and we stopped at Sevs and picked up Marisa. The group met at the library and we all took tons of pictures and we were on our way!!!! The drive to the airport went so quickly. When we got to the airport, we did all the airporty things and sat in the terminal for a very very long time. I bought Cosmo and had yogurt and a Kind bar for lunch. Kind bars are delicious, by the way. When we finally got on the plane, I was sitting between Chris and John. Kelli was next to John, Michael and Sam were in front of me and Marisa was all the way on the other side of the plane next to this lady who didn’t stop smiling the entire flight, I kid you not. The flight was so. long. We played Uno and I listened to my iPod and tried to read. John did not let anyone sleep on the way there, good times. Also, I broke my tv. When the food came out, they asked if we wanted “meat or fish”. So basically mystery meat. It smelled awful ad looked even worse, so I ate a piece of bread and cheese and the cake they served. When we landed in Rome, everyone was literally exhausted. We had a Red Eye flight so we were technically suppose to sleep and no one did. Me and Kelli were instantly in a terrible mood when we realized we still have a two hour flight to Athens. So we sprinted through the airport and sat in another terminal till we boarded another plane. Me and Kelli sat alone because we were miserable and no one wanted to be around us hehehehe. The next flight I sat next to Marisa and it went so quickly it was like basically nothing. When we landed in Athens it was Saturday and everyone was so excited. We got our bags and got on the bus and met Demetra, our tour guide for the week. We drove to the hotel, which was way way nicer than I expected it to be and dropped our bags off. The elevator only held two people so we just put bags in it and took the stairs. We were all on the fifth floor, and each floor, each set of stairs had 24 steps. Aka, hell. We had fifteen minutes to clean ourselves up and meet back downstairs to go to the Plaka!! We loved the Plaka. It was basically just this little strip of shops and boutiques and it was really cute. We had gyros for lunch which were fantastic. I loved them. We got free time here and did some shopping and took lots of pictures and walked back to the hotel after a few hours. We went back up to our rooms for a while and had to meet back downstairs for dinner. We ate dinner at the hotel that night, which was HORRIBLE. It was the worst collective meal I have ever eaten in my entire life. Oh my god. It was a cheese crepe, which was weird and vegetables on a plate. Then they served us mystery meat again, some terrible terrible mashed potatoes (I didn’t know it was possible to ruin mashed potatoes..you can) and gross vegetables. Then for dessert was one of those soaked cakes and it was actually vomitizing. So me Marisa and Kelli went back to the room and ate tons of granola bars that I packed. John invited us over that night and we went to the boys’ room with Chris and Sam and played Uno and watched Obsessed. I tried dried mangos and we ate sour patch kids. We were all exhausted so we went to sleep after that and slept for twelve hours. LOL.
