monday

Monday we had a 5:30 wake up call and a 6:00 breakfast. That was rough, but we all made it downstairs to eat in a half hour, John included. I ate the same thing again for breakfast and realized I forgot my camera at the last minute and sprinted back up all 3924 stairs. We drove out to Corinth that day, and stopped at the Corinth Canal which was unbelievable. It was SO DEEP. It took 1 minute and 49 seconds for a pebble to hit the water from the bridge we were standing on. We were all amazed by it omg. We stopped at a rest stop and I had the worst donut in history and then we were off to a Roman Odium which was kinda boring. No one really cared about that. Next, we got to this giant mountain thing and hiked up to the very top which was so cool. It was so far above the ground and it was a little scary. They were ancient ruins and a wall to keep out invaders in Corinth. Then we went through a cave which was so dark you literally could not see your hand two inches in front of you. After we left there, we went to the theater of Epidaurus which was literally incredible. My jaw dropped when I saw it. We climbed all the way to the top of it and when we got up there, Rachel sang!!!! She sang Whitney Houston and me and John both cried. It was seriously the best thing I have ever heard. Then it started pouring. We got back on the bus and went to lunch at this little local family owned restaurant and it was great. We had Moussaka which was one of the best things I ate all week. We had salad and shiskabobs again and an orange for dessert. Which Kelli, made an orange family out of and literally had everyone crying over how funny it was. We also watched this little old man break a plate hehehe. Then we stopped at this pottery place and watched this guy make a vase out of clay which was really cute. And he was a really cute old man :’) The bus ride home, everyone fell asleep because we were all exhausted and fucking Demetra woke us up to have a debate and we all hated her after that. When we got back to the hotel we hung out for like 45 minutes and we were off again. We walked down to this strip and got dinner to go and walked like two miles up to this giant hill/cliff thing that overlooked all of Athens and it was beautiful. But this is where I wiped out LOLOL. I literally basically face planted on the sidewalk. SO embarrassing. The view was incredible. We walked back to the hotel and started packing, we had a 4am wake up call and had to be down for breakfast at 4:30 the next morning to catch our flight. So naturally, we packed and sat in bed and talked until 2:30 in the morning because we really weren’t that tired. 2:30 we finally decided to go to bed and started hearing terrible noises coming form the bathroom and we were all terrified. So we pushed our beds together and watched Greek cartoons until it was time to get up and I have never regretted anything more in my life.
